Infinity transcribe — Privacy Policy

The provider of “Infinity transcribe” (the “Provider”) handles information about users of the “Infinity transcribe” service (the “Service”) as set out below (this “Policy”).

1. General

  1. By downloading the mobile application for the Service (the “App”), you are deemed to consent to this Policy.
  2. The Provider complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (“APPI”) and other applicable laws and regulations and will appropriately handle and protect personal information.
  3. This Policy applies to the use of the Service. If other privacy notices or the Service’s Terms of Service contain provisions about personal information, those provisions also apply. If they conflict with this Policy, this Policy prevails.
  4. If the Service integrates with third-party services (“Integrated Services”), this Policy does not apply to those services. Please review each third party’s privacy policy.

2. Information We Obtain and How We Obtain It

The Provider may obtain and use the following information (“User Information”) in connection with the Service.

  1. Information you provide
  • Audio data, transcript data, and similar content. Note: The Provider does not store these data in a Provider-managed database.
  1. Information collected when you use the Service
  • Device information (device identifiers, OS version, language/time-zone settings, IP address, etc.)

  • Log and usage information about actions taken within the Service

  • Payment information

    • For in-app purchases via Apple, the Provider does not receive your full payment card details. The Provider obtains only the minimum necessary information (e.g., transaction ID, status, timestamp). Detailed payment information is managed by Apple and is not collected or stored by the Provider.
  • Pseudonymous identifiers

  • Information obtained through integrations with external services (if you choose to link them)

  • Any other information you consent to share

The Provider obtains personal information appropriately and not by fraudulent or improper means. If the Provider obtains personal information by means other than your use of the Service, the Provider will notify or publish the purpose of use in advance.

3. Purposes of Use

The Provider uses personal information only within the scope below and will not use it beyond these purposes without your consent or in any way that promotes or induces unlawful or improper acts.

  1. Provision, maintenance, and quality improvement of the Service
  2. Identity/authentication and prevention/monitoring of misuse
  3. Billing and payment processing for in-app purchases
  4. Responding to inquiries and support requests
  5. Notices about important Service matters (e.g., policy/terms updates, suspensions, termination)
  6. Measurement, analytics, and surveys about Service usage
  7. Development, provision, maintenance, and quality improvement of new services and features

The Provider may change the purposes of use within a scope reasonably related to the purposes above.

4. Use of User Data for AI Training

The Provider does not use audio, transcripts, or other user-generated data (“User Data”) for training AI models (i.e., reuse as training data). If User Data is transmitted to external vendors (e.g., for speech-to-text or text processing), the Provider uses vendors whose published policies indicate that such data are not used for model training.

5. Provision to Third Parties (Vendors)

To achieve the purposes in Section 3, the Provider may transmit audio data and related information to the following vendors. By consenting to this Policy, you consent to such transmission.

6. External Transmission (Analytics/Ads SDKs)

The App may send device identifiers (including via cookies/SDKs) and usage data to the following partners for analytics and advertising.

7. Your Rights under APPI (Access, Correction, etc.)

Upon a request from you and after confirming your identity, the Provider will respond without undue delay to the following, in accordance with APPI and other applicable law, to the extent the Provider holds the requested data in a Provider-managed database: notification of purpose of use, disclosure of retained personal data and third-party provision records, correction/addition/deletion of retained personal data, and suspension/deletion/cessation of third-party provision (“Data Requests”). Please submit Data Requests via the contact form in Section 12. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, or a fee is otherwise permitted by applicable law. If a fee applies, we will tell you what it is before fulfilling your request.

8. Storage and Location

  1. As a rule, User Information is stored on your device.
  2. If you use the optional backup feature, data are stored in Firebase Storage provided by Google, in the us-central (Iowa, United States) region.
  3. When using Google services for storage, the Provider implements appropriate security measures and provides the information required under APPI regarding transfers to foreign vendors (see Section 5). Where cross-border transfers occur, the Provider obtains consent or otherwise ensures appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

9. Security Measures

The Provider implements organizational, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks, including access controls, encryption in transit where supported by vendors, and monitoring for misuse.

10. Children’s Privacy

Use of the Service by minors is not permitted under the Terms of Service. The Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

11. Changes to this Policy

The Provider reviews handling of personal information on an ongoing basis and may amend this Policy from time to time. Where required by law (e.g., if a change requires consent), the Provider will obtain consent in a manner it deems appropriate. The amended Policy will be posted in the Service or on the Provider’s website and takes effect when posted.
